By Mari Davis
DALLAS, Aug 19, 2002 /FW/ --- "Houston, the Eagle has landed," famous words that echoed
the whole world on July 20, 1999.
Three decades later, the news is, "Houston, style with an unconventional edge has
arrived," echoes at the city's shopping district.
Mix, Houston’s foremost fashion forward store brings to the city the hottest designer
talents for Fall 2002.
At mix, Houstonians discover a one-of-a-kind retail experience and the most exclusive in
fashion.
The store, which has recently expanded to house an even more diverse merchandise mix,
has a chic, minimal aesthetic conceived by Harvard-trained architect Albert Marichal.
The new space at 2818 Kirby Drive has proved to be a tremendous success with an expanding
customer base and press recognition throughout the U.S.

most of them sold exclusively at mix for the Houston area.
