"I've been dying to do home! It's my favorite sideline hobby, as I have intensely decorated each of my homes," said Ms. Johnson in a statement.

Betsey Johnson has been fascinated with interior design and has extensively decorated her homes in New York City, East Hampton, and Mexico. In recent years, Betsey restored two private villas in Mexico, dubbed Betseyville and Villa Betsey, which are operating as unique getaway destinations.

The Betsey Johnson Home Collection that will be produced by WestPoint Hone will include such items as sheets, comforters, blankets, bedding accessories and towels and bath accessories. A 2006 late fall or 2007 spring shipping date is anticipated for the first collection.
