Full Service Philosphy
The Trim Corporation of America is better known as TRIMCO in the visual merchandising world. Based
in New York, Trimco was established in 1960. Since then, it has grown to be one of the leading suppliers
of store fixtures, visual merchandising and point-of-purchase products to the retail industry.
"Trimco is at the cutting edge of the visual merchandising industry," Michelle Nigel, a member
of the Creative Group at Trimco. "Last GlobalShop in March, we presented the new designs and innovations
not only for trim and decorations, but also for POP and store fixtures."
"Visit our website. It shows our new product lines," said Michelle Nigel enthusiastically.
"Trimco has a full service approach in its marketing philosophy. We have 4 divisions - the Trimco
Decorative. We can decorate your store the whole year round. And there is the Trimco Holiday Trim which
is the company's specialty."
"Then we have the Trimco Point-of-Purchase, or POP for short. Trimco manufactures and designs display fixtures
for use on the sales floor. This summer, Trimco will be participating at the furniture show for the first time.
Although we have been manufacturing furniture for some time now, this is the first year that we are going
into the market aggressively."
"The Custom Fabric Group takes care of the 'Cut &Saw' industry. If you need customized banners,
silk screened tablecloths and overlays, or cut yardage, even ribbons and tassels, all you have to do is
contact our Custome Fabric Division. They are available for consultation on concept and design as part
of our service."
"The Concept Group is our custom fixture division, provides everything from uniquely designed signage
all the way up to complete shops. We can see a project the whole way through, from initial concept to design;
from prototype to production; from shipment to customer service; and beyond."
And as Michelle Nigel described the Trimco product lines and services, I remembered when she was still at
the High School of Fashion Industries. She worked with Mari Davis on a project for the High School of Fashion
Industries feature. She was already very enthusiastic about visual merchandising during that time. And you could
still hear and feel that enthusiasm on her voice up to now. And I thought - Michelle is just one. Imagine
her enthusiasm translated in the whole company! Because that is what Trimco's commitment to the industry is
all about.
