Wildfox F14 (28)NEW YORK, Feb 9, 2014/ — If Paris has Isabel Marant, then New York, via Los Angeles has Kimberley Gordon of Wildfox. Both designers have their fingers on the pulse of fashionistas and seemingly have the prescience to anticipate what they want.

Unveiling her Fall 2014 collection last Wednesday, Feb 5th, Kimberley Gordon also marked a milestone for Wildfox with the first ever runway show for the label. In a wintry New York evening, which also happened to be the calm in between two snowstorms that hit the Northeast that day, avid fashionistas that included Nicky Hilton, Skyler Grey, Diane Guerrero and Jackie Cruz braved the cold weather to see Kimberley’s latest creation.

And Kimberley did not disappoint. Inspired by English author Jane Austen and 18th century England, the Wilfox Fall 2014 collection is comprised of the label’s core styles with new period-influenced designs that surprisingly looked sexy, even erotic at times.

Chunky knits on denim, soft t-shirt materials layered under sweaters, cheeky graphics and varsity numbers – it’s a young girl’s wardrobe maturing into a young woman.

Kimberley Gordon and Wildfox might be new names in the New York fashion calendar, but it surely has made its mark early and fast!
