Three store windows at Bergdorf Goodman were
entitled Masterpieces of Art. This is the first one featuring sculptures.
Two mannequins, facing inward (their backs to
the passersby) were busy looking at the sculpture. The setting was an atelier, not a museum.
This store window is a tableau, a moment in time
frozen to show an action, a feeling, a snapshot of a play. Any selling being done is subliminal.
