Shopping In London

DALLAS, Jan 21, 2001/ FW/ --- Probably the most famous shopping district in London is Oxford Street with over 300 shops and approximately 200 million visitors per year. Landmark stores include Debenhams, Selfridges, Marks & Spencers and John Lewis.

Just off Oxford Street is Regent Street, best known for Liberty and Hamley, plus a lot of small boutiques and expensive jewelry shops.

Another side street enjoying a revival (thanks to the designers' current obsession with the sixties) is Carnaby Street.

So whether you want wild style or conservative chic Oxford Street and its many cooler back streets are sure to have something to suit.
