Bergdorf Goodman DALLAS, Jun 9, 2005/ FW/ --- Six store windows featuring ‘six different acts’ created to show the different departments/ floors of the store and what they are offering is the main premise of these series of store windows.

Whimsical titles like: ‘Reverse Ventriloquism’ wherein the ‘dummy’ talks for the ‘mannequin’ and ‘One Girl Band’ who upstages even herself, these windows are guaranteed to put a smile on your face both due to the message and the merchandise on display.

Different types of abstract mannequins were used, instead of ‘realistic mannequins’ that graced the other store windows. Maybe it is to emphasize that this is a caricature.

Nevertheless, these windows are eye-catching and something that passersby can truly enjoy even if they stop just for a few seconds.

And that is the key. A visual merchandiser only has a few seconds at the most to impart a message. ‘Short and sweet’ is the rule of thumb when making captions for store windows.
