This week Louis Vuitton gave us a glimpse into the future of handbags. At its Cruise 2020 show, a few of the bags included video screens.

The luxury brand’s newest creations are called the “Canvas of the Future.” Nicolas Ghesquière opted to put the screens on some of the brand’s classic monogrammed bags, basically combining the past and the future. The screens are made of AMOLED technology, making it possible to make the screens flexible enough to follow the shapes of the bags. They’re the same LED lights on your fancy smartphone and offer 1920 x 1440 resolution.
So far Louis Vuitton hasn’t released any other details on the bags, like if they’ll be available for purchase. And will it be like buying an iPhone where you keep upgrading because you don’t want to miss out on new features or improved resolution? It definitely opens up a whole new avenue when it comes to wearable technology.
