PamellaRoland_Designer_2NEW YORK, Feb 21, 2015/ — Catching up with Pamella Devos, Creative Director of Pamella Roland before she unveiled her Fall 2015 collection on February 16th, the famed designer shared the secret of her effervescent energy.

“It’s my children,” Pamella Roland exclaims. “When you have three teenagers, you always have to be on your toes. My children keep me young.”

And now, with them grown and her oldest daughter Cassandra getting married soon, Pamella Roland is now busy being the mother of the bride while also keeping the Pamella Roland label a fashionista favorite.

Case in point, the Pamella Roland Fall 2015 collection unveiled an hour later was inspired by Pamella’s recent visit to Paris.

Taking a cue for Alicia Drake’s book “The Beautiful Fall,” Pamella focused on the Paris in the early 1970s wherein she recalled the energy of the glamourous world of designers, models, photographers and their creative conspirators that have become enduring style icons.

The collection of elegant dresses and separates is constructed of rich fabrics including jacquard cloqué tweed, floral jacquard cloqué and striped crepe.

Pamella Roland also proposes prints that are bold with oversized and abstract floral and paisley prints on organza and silk ottoman in deep shades of midnight navy, plum, burgundy, cobalt, olive and camel for Fall 2015.

When asked why she chose vibrant colors for the collection while other designers are choosing black and grey, Pamella answered, “It’s because our clients want colors.”

Always thinking of what her market wants had kept the Pamella Roland label on top the fashionista’s list during the past decade up to today.

But, Ms. Devos does not stop there. She always adds something special to keep the ladies coming back. And for Fall 2015, it’s the details.

Hand-cut velvet sequins, re-embroidered prints, velvet flocking and hand-cut feathers add texture, visual depth, and capture the seductive Parisian glamour will surely catch the eyes of the fashion set.
