MIAMI, Jul 19, 2013/ — Day one of Funkshion SWIM in Miami, poolside at the SLS Hotel South Beach turned into a Barraca Chic runway extravaganza on July 18, 2013 at 10 o’clock in the evening.
Juxtaposing pieces that mix and match with Swarovski elements and a novelty holiday collection, Barraca Chic’s debut show at Funkshion SWIM wowed the audience.
For their newest collection, designers B & B were inspired by cities around the globe: Monte Carlo, Rio, Miami, Las Vegas, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Singapore, Zurich, Cape Town and Antarctica.
From the architecture of the international cities to their signature flare, the 2014 beachwear collection inspiration was born. From the classic love affair with Monte Carlo to the glitz and glam of Dubai, the sea and the city’s collide in this collection.
Made from the finest, eco-friendly fabrics and best quality Lycra; Barraca Chic’s entire collection is extra comfortable, and holds a fine (never bulky) fit and zero pilling. The quick drying material dries twice as fast as most swimwear and has UV protection for optimal coverage from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
The 2014 Moments collection featured nearly 10,000 Swarovski crystals set by hand especially created for the 2014 Collection launch. Each of six Swarovski bikinis were embellished with over 1,400 crystals.
This collection includes the renowned Candy collection, featuring bikinis and one piece suites in various, bright colors. From neon’s to metallics, the crystal-embellished swimwear made an impact on the runway Thursday night.
Barraca Chic men’s collection featured a trifecta of trunks, three different cuts that are all very supportive, colorful and comfortable. The men’s line also included versatile shorts that can go from a swim to a restaurant, as the trunks dry quickly and maintain a soft and silky appearance while remaining elegant yet sporty.
