Brachmann Show - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Spring/Summer 2016From the press notes:

The key inspiration of WHITETAIL’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection is the Japanese culture. Interpretations of kimonos, warrior robes, but also minimalistic elements from interior design can be recognized.

Silhouettes and cuts continue to be simple and clean trying to create a point of surprise for the viewer. Rare, luxurious organic linen meets organic peace silk. Dark blue combined with natural white and grey keep the color palette Nordic and calm.

Born in Estonia, Margit Peura was a doctor before her passion for design brought her to Helsinki Design School to study fashion.

After her graduation in 2014, she launched WHITETAIL as a Finland based label. From the beginning the aim was to create more than just another dress. Ethical production, ecological materials and social responsibility are the core values behind the brand.

In addition to the ecological fabrics, Peruvian alpaca wool is a central material in Whitetail’s knitwear. For that reason, also Whitetail’s social responsibility project is carried out in Peru. Overall minimalistic design, intriguing details and high quality merge within the WHITETAIL design language.
