Daiki Shimizu F15 (18)NEW YORK, Feb 22, 2015/ — Style Fashion Week NY, presented by Nicolas G. Perez of New York Life, is raising needed funds for Charity: Water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations, on February 12th, 2015, at Lincoln Center.

This season, the Series of Style shows will feature unique collections produced by designers Metal Noir, Quynh Paris, Antti Asplund, Ophelia Song, and Daiki Shimizu.

Daiki Shimizu studied pattern making, sewing and fashion design at Bunka Fashion College in Japan. While he was a student, he was nominated three times for the Fashion Designers Competition in Japan.

In 2014, his designs were accepted for the 88th SO-EN Competition in Japan for his collection titled New Generation. Daiki has been featured in several publications, such as Vogue, for his previous collection, which was a 1940’s inspired modern suit collection.
