sally hansen met gala looksNEW YORK, May 7, 2013/— Last night at the 2013 Costume Institute Gala, Dakota and Elle Fanning looked stunning in Rodarte which were accentuated by their dramatic nails created by Sally Hansen Nail Ambassador Tracylee.

This year’s Met Gala paid homage to the punk era, so attendees like the sophisticated sisters behind Rodarte, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, and their guests, talented Hollywood star siblings Elle and Dakota Fanning, showed off chic interpretations of the theme down to their fingertips.

Sally Hansen Nail Ambassador Tracylee created custom looks to complement these fashion insiders’ high glamour ensembles. “I love the element of theatricality the Gala calls for,” explains Tracylee. “It gives me an opportunity to create statement nails that bring edgy looks to the next level.”

The Mulleavy sisters turned to Sally Hansen for the latest colors to compliment their couture looks. “The Met Gala is the most magical night celebrating fashion and Sally Hansen helped us get every detail perfect,” said Kate Mulleavy about her nail art that was a major part of her ensemble. Laura agreed, adding, “The nail colors truly accentuated the looks.”

To create the looks seen at the Met Ball, Tracylee used two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Wine Not for Laura Mulleavy and two coats Complete Salon Manicure in Wedding Glitters on Kate Mulleavy’s oval-shaped nails.

Tracylee created nail art and a custom color combination for Dakota Fanning using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Shoot the Moon mixed with Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Black Out.

She painted three nails on each hand with the blended color and then added texture using a blotting technique over the base color, using a plastic bag and Shoot the Moon. The remaining fingers were painted with Shoot the Moon and were embellished with square black studs and stones.

Elle Fanning wore Complete Salon Manicure in Clear’d for Takeoff to create a very natural nail to pair with her red carpet punk-inspired look.
