PHILADELPHIA, Oct 31, 2010 / — Rock your spring trends and threads, meet designers from NYC and Philly, and see and hear what everyone is talking about wearing this spring at NET Nights at Moore – TREND REPORT: The Business of Fashion. What will you wear?

Event includes a DJ cocktail hour with modeled spring collection pieces by our featured designers; video clips and images from 2010 New York Fashion Week and conversation with the designers about their careers in fashion and opinions on the next big trends.

Featured designers include:
Alexandra De Yonge ‘02 – Fashion Designer at Diane Von Furstenberg Studio, L.P., NYC and Moore alum, De Yonge has also worked as a designer at Lilly Pulitzer, Anna Sui and Michael Kors.

Auralis Herrero ’05 – founding designer of Auralis, a sustainable line out of NYC using only organic, natural or recycled fabrics. Herrero, a Moore alum, was the first Latina designer to be featured in the 2010 GreenShows at New York Fashion Week.

Kristin Haskins-Simms – Philadelphia-based creator of Strangefruit, a woman’s ready to wear collection featured at this year’s Philadelphia Fashion Week and a Project Runway Season 8 contestant.

Craig Arthur von Schroeder – founding designer of Commonwealth Proper a burgeoning Philadelphia-based menswear to provide clients with intelligent, lifestyle-enhancing garments recently featured in The Galleries’ DesignLab 2010 exhibition series.

Discussion will be moderated by Moore’s Chair and Professor of Fashion Design Janice Lewis.

NET (New Emerging Talent) Nights is a program for graduates and studentsof local art and design colleges to network with peers and heads of area business associations and arts organizations as well as build relationships with other arts professionals.
