Apparatus is a Spring/Summer 2013 collection inspired and a tribute to America’s height in the industrial age and the working class. The collection thrives on the characteristics of large machinery: clean, minimal pieces with an emphasis on detail and exercise of utility.

The intent of the collection is to examine fashion as a sign and a language. I explore the question, at what point a trench coat is defined as a trench coat and a shirt a shirt? This collection responds to this question through the interpretation of an individual.
