The work of Berlin-based designer Rike Feurstein combines a pure, sensuous, emphatically modern aesthetic with the highest level of artisanship and luxurious materiality.
Her celebrated designs eagerly explore the fine line between art and fashion. Deeply rooted in the almost extinct craft of millinery she sculpts hats and clothing in avant-garde, minimal shapes.
One such minimal style – a futuristic, yet casual cap handcrafted in the finest fur felt – has recently been nominated for the German Design Award.
With a keen painterly eye Rike Feurstein experiments with elaborate color combinations, invents surprising surface structures and plays with whimsical, surrealist details, thus creating stylish, exclusive, elegant clothes and accessories for men and women.
