Vans Spring 15 prints (2)Since its inception in 1977, the Original Classic Slip-On served as a canvas of expression and customization and featured designs created by Vans fans themselves.

The Checkerboard print, which is perhaps the most representative of Vans heritage, was inspired by the designs and customization of those early adopters. Expanding upon this same DIY-aesthetic, Vans is releasing an extensive array of men’s and women’s Classic Slip-Ons in bold prints and patterns for spring.

Vans celebrates its iconic design heritage with a trio of Checkerboard Slip-Ons available in vintage colors from the ‘70s. An ode to classic Americana style includes two women’s jumbo polka dots variations and a unisex star spangled checkerboard color-up.

Next in the assortment is a series of striped Classic Slip-Ons including a dress shirt blue edition for men and a colorful multi-stripe combination for the ladies. Three all-over print offerings include a washed geometric arrangement as well as a Rasta tie-dye for the men and collaged Kenyan cheetah Slip-On for women. Say aloha to a new Hawaiian print available in black and crème alongside an additional floral themed pack just for the ladies including a pink vintage tone and an all-over sunflower option.

Rounding out the newest installment of prints is a special Classic Slip-On designed in collaboration with San Francisco based artist, Zio Ziegler. Ziegler is known for his painting and large-scale outdoor murals and employs inspiration from 1990’s graffiti and naïve art into his custom designed Classic Slip-On.

Vans Classic Slip-Ons range from $47 – $60 and are available in-store and online at vans.com/slipon beginning this March.
