NEW YORK, Sep 7, 2012/ — Inspired by the Silk Road (or Silk Routes as most historians prefer), designer Tadashi Shoji incorporated many Oriental elements, specifically Chinese influences in the collection but surprisingly used lace as the predominant fabric instead of silk.

Though the week is still early, the use of lace is looking like it is going to be a big trend this season. And though Tadashi Shoji gave a nod to the black, white and gray color palette trend, he still managed to send a very colorful collection that is more reminiscent of spring.
