Jonny Johansson, Creative Director for Acne Studios described the Acne Studios Women Fall 2014 as “crisp moments on the beach as autumn comes to an end wrap this collection in a layered, comfortable manner.”
But, it is more than that! Delightfully graphical, Johansson touched on the Millennial’s preoccupation with bright and geometric shapes as a result of growing up under Steve Jobs and Apple’s influence. And though the wizard might be gone, the current generation is still enthralled with his legacy.
Thus, Acne Studios’ surfing swirls printed on tweed, blanket-like tops and bonded satins that are mixed with leather, shearling and denim are natural hits for this young crop of fashionistas.
