NEW YORK, Sep 1, 2010 / FW/ — As part of its “Executive Women in Fashion” program, the Fashion Institute of Technology presents, “An Evening with Martha Stewart” wherein the business magnate will discuss what the industry and landscape might look like in the year 2020, including who currently represents the future.
Open forum interview will be conducted by Mindy Grossman, CEO and Director, HSN, Inc., followed by a Q & A. Cocktails and networking reception will be held before the event.
A household name, Martha Stewart is a business magnate, catering and home products entrepreneur, TV and radio host, author, and gourmet cook.
Stewart developed a passion for cooking, gardening, and homemaking as a child, which later would result in the establishment of her own catering business in the 1970s. After working as a model to earn a degree in history from Barnard College in 1962, she became a stockbroker, gaining valuable business training.
Stewart is the author of numerous books, magazines, and a syndicated newspaper column. Her Emmy Award-winning television program, The Martha Stewart Show, has been on the air since 2005. She also can be heard on Martha Stewart Living Radio on Sirius XM. Stewart’s merchandise, sold at major retail stores, ranges from crafts to home products to pet products.
