PARIS, Jan 18, 2013/ — Henrik Vibskov’s runway installation this season addresses the vast historical meanings of stiff necks and will be further developed into the designer’s first solo exhibition in Paris, NECK PLUS ULTRA, at the Galerie des Galeries, from Feb 27th to May 4th 2013.
This carte blanche exhibition will include original installations, deliberate mixtures of pop, surrealism and psychedelia, conscious artistic hybridizations dear to an artist who enjoys mixing genres.
The exhibition then travels on to Henrik’s hometown Copenhagen, where it will develop into yet another stiff neck universe for the modern exhibition hall GL STRAND.
During yesterday’s runway show, Vibskov also showcased for the very first time the chunky knits that emerged from his collaboration with Dale of Norway, a tradition-rich knit manufacturer from Norway. Further information on this collaboration will follow.
