NEW YORK, Sep 10, 2012/ — Kork-Ease, the creator of the original cork wedge sandal collaborated with designer Jackie Fraser-Swan for the EMERSON Spring 2013 collection by creating exclusive custom shoes for the show.
Utilizing EMERSON fabrics as basis, Kork-Ease put them on the classic wedge and custom detailing, as well as a black and white contrast strappy wedge.
The shoes complimented Fraser-Swan’s signature aesthetic of contrasting elements – mixing rock with romance; sweetness with an edge. The new EMERSON Spring 2013 collection was inspired by 1970s and 2000s horror films.
From this dark original inspiration, Fraser-Swan came up with an elegant, refined collection that featured sleeveless peplum tops, peplum blazers & dresses, classic button-down blouses, jersey tank dresses and a sleeveless angle drape dress (an EMERSON staple).
