Unveiled on April 16, 2015 at São Paulo Fashion Week, the Lenny Niemeyer Spring 2016 collection was inspired by a nostalgic and romantic version of the spectacle traditionally seen in Rio de Janeiro.
With the Carnival theme, the collection paid homage to traditional characters of Rio’s Carnival such as the sailor, jester, and Carmen Miranda. The colors and textures were inspired by confetti and streamers.
