NEW YORK, Feb 4, 2013/ — Started over a decade ago, the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection has become a fashion week must-attend show. With its Red Dress Collection fashion show, it reminds women that everyone has a role to play in the fight against heart disease.
And this season, the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection show kicks off fashion week on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The event unveils the Red Dress Collection 2013 created by some of America’s top designers and to be modeled by 20 celebrities who will walk the runway.
Designers: Adrianna Papell, Badgley Mischka, Black Halo Eve, Carmen Marc Valvo, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Cushnie et Ochs, David Meister, Herve L. Leroux, Marc Bouwer, Nicole Miller, Norma Kamali, Oscar de la Renta, Pamella Roland, Reem Acra, Tadashi Shoji, and Zac Posen.

This year, the campaign wants women to know that every woman has a role to play and a story to share in the fight against heart disease. In addition to the celebrity voices amplifying the issue of women’s heart health,
The Heart Truth will highlight stories of women who have survived and triumphed over heart disease and its risk factors. For the first time, the Red Dress Collection will feature a non-celebrity who has worked to improve her heart health. The woman chosen this year, whose identity will be revealed at the show, is a 55-year old from Brooklyn, Conn.
The Heart Truth brings the Red Dress Collection to life through a public-private partnership between the NHLBI and the American College of Cardiology — a 40,000-member nonprofit medical society dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with cardiovascular disease. The Red Dress Collection 2013 Fashion Show is presented by Diet Coke with support from partner WebMD.
