Bold. Unusual. Artistic. These are the characteristics of the new beauty trend that has been emerging over the last few weeks: the face is the canvas where to paint graphic signs. Playing with eye-liners and crayons the possibilities are endless.

There are those who simply follow the contours of the face and those who dare with drawings that recall the works of Saul Steinberg (as Jacquemus did some time ago) or abstract paintings, poised between Picasso and Russian Constructivism, those who are inspired by the make-up of the vintage shows of Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, those who opt for dizziness and those for straight lines, those who evoke the ethnic makeup of African tribes such as FKA Twigs.
