NEW YORK, Aug 19, 2014/ — With model and actress Irina Shayk taking center stage, Italian footwear label Via Spiga unveiled its Fall 2014 advertising campaign worthy of a shoe diva.
Shot by fashion photographer Miles Aldridge, the campaign pays homage to Via Spiga’s Italian heritage and showcases a variety of styles from the fall collection.
Via Spiga partnered with MODCo Group and Vogue Advertising Studio to conceptualize and produce the campaign. The fall 2014 advertising campaign speaks to all facets of a woman’s life — exploring her sophisticated, passionate personality, as well as her sexy, playful spirit.
“This new campaign is a visual celebration of the sleek architectural designs that the brand is known for,” said Sara Rotman, Founder and CCO of MODCo.
Shayk is shown in a series of dynamic images with the objects of desire — the shoes — front and center. Red, white and green — the colors of the Italian flag — are used in graphic stripes, which span across three dimensions: ceiling, wall and floor.
“Inspired by the elegant and modern design of Via Spiga’s fall collection, I used a white room as a blank canvas to contrast the pure beauty of Irina Shayk against blocks of pure abstract color. The resulting compositions — with their graphic forms centered around the statuesque beauty of Irina — have an affinity with the heritage of the cinema of Michelangelo Antonionni and Italian abstract paintings from the 1960s,”said Miles Aldridge.
The campaign features seven of the sophisticated and playful styles from the Via Spiga fall 2014 collection.
The collection offers feminine footwear for each aspect of the modern woman’s life – from classic pumps for a big meeting at work to a chic biker boot for off-duty weekends to metallic sandals for a big night out — and all are produced in beautiful Italian leathers with luxurious detailing.
Featured styles include: the Femke over-the-knee boot in black Chantal calf leather with tassel detail; Fortuna ankle boot in black calf leather with tassel detail; Franya boot with cut-out detailing in black calf leather; Fate pump in black and white kid suede and leather; Hue kitten heel in houndstooth printed fabric; Teaira sandal in black and green snake print in metallic suede; Bara motorcycle boot in black calf leather; and the Tarni open-toe boot in black crystal glitter and elasticized suede.
The Via Spiga fall 2014 advertising campaign will debut in September, 2014, and the collection will be available on ViaSpiga.com and at major department stores across the U.S., including Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.
