Bluefly Closet Confessions: Bethenny Frankel of the Real Housewives of New York City - FashionWindows

NEW YORK, Sep 22, 2010 / — Bringing sass and style to Bluefly’s Closet Confessions, Real Housewives of New York City cast member Bethenny Frankel stars in the sixth video of this unique online series.

The charming Frankel gives viewers an exclusive look inside her diverse closet, while engaging audiences with her contagious sense of humor.

Adding to an already impressive lineup of Closet Confessions including fashion designer Christian Siriano, heiress Nicky Hilton, PR Maven Kelly Cutrone and her adorable daughter Ava, Frankel brings her refreshing tongue in cheek commentary to the segment, and shares with audiences her helpful hints to achieve versatile and timeless looks.

Frankel teases that, “housewives have their own sense of fashion.” Whether it be a one of a kind Dolce & Gabbana sample sale steal or countless Herve Leger dresses purchased and given away over the years, Frankel’s key to a perfect fit is tailoring.

“I would tailor my underwear,” she jokes. In characteristic feisty form, Frankel pairs a number of dresses with housewives on the show that would wear them best. “This would be Kelly [Killoren Bensimon] because it is a shirt,” she jokes, holding up a metallic silver getup that is indeed on the shorter side.

Audiences also get to peep inside her newborn daughter Bryn’s beautiful collection of clothes (which includes a white sundress and an old school Adidas sweatsuit), and a chance to look at Frankel’s extensive and well-organized shoe closet, a dream come true to shoe fanatics and neat freaks alike.

Since its launch on April 7th, 2010, Bluefly’s Closet Confessions has harnessed the crossover power of fashion entertainment and social media with over half a million visitors in its first month. Bluefly CMO Bradford Matson summed up the program: “With Closet Confessions, now the fashion-obsessed have a destination custom-made for them.”

Bluefly CEO Melissa Payner says, “seeing the pieces our customers love in their closets is great inspiration for our buying team and spectacular insight into the trends that matter most to our customers.”

Closet Confessions also encourages users to enter monthly contests showcasing their own closets for the chance to win a $500 hook-up on Bluefly—where Spring 2010 Prada, Balmain, Manolo Blahnik, Azzedine Alaia, Chloé, Miu Miu and more, start at 40% off retail.

Since its launch, hundreds have entered the contest, showing off the “fly-est” items in their closet in the hopes of securing enough “flies” to win. Real Housewife of Atlanta Sheree Whitfield, an avid fan of the Closet Confessions series, joined in the fun, sharing a picture of her cut-out Givenchy heels.
