BERLIN, Jul 13, 2014/ — On Thursday, July 10th, PERRET SCHAAD its 10th collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.
Inspired by the atmosphere of a summer day at the French Riviera with its familiar, yet exciting contrasts, the collection proposed a colorful palette that is reminiscent of the blazing light of noon and the welcome cooling in the end of a day on the beach at Cote D’Azur.
The French Rivera’s even rush of the sea at night and the sound of scooters along the Corniche were echoed in the blues that are arranged in different shades, appearing marine on silk crêpe and cerulean on fine cotton. Sand and khaki glance to gold. Bright white and an accent of lime add clarity and freshness.
PERRET SCHAAD´s love for materials shows in the way they are processed: Lasercutting gives the fabrics depth, playing with light and shadows. Prints in faded grey appear both graphical and ethereal.
For this collection the designers create silhouettes that are feminine and uncomplicated, using both pattern cutting and draping techniques. Knots and bands add details and are inspired by the nonchalant and elegant way of dressing after the beach.
PERRET and SCHAAD constantly question the form, the details and the purpose of each design, creating a high quality collection that is both effortless and beautiful to wear.
