NEW YORK, Jan 28, 2013/ — Now on its third year, Concept Korea continues to give fashionistas a bird eye view of Korean fashion while also highlighting the country’s best design talents.

On February 7th, Concept Korea returns to Lincoln Center featuring once again CHOIBOKO by Choi Bo Ko, CRES. E DIM. By Hongbum Kim, KYE by Kathleen Kye, LIE SANG BONG by Lie Sang Bong and SON JUNG WAN by Son Jung Wan.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Daegu Metropolitan City, the Korea Creative Contents Agency, and the Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry, Concept Korea is a collaborative project to promote Korean fashion designers and assist them in their attempts to break into the U.S. fashion market

Concept Korea is a collaborative project to promote Korean fashion designers and assist them in their attempts to break into the U.S. fashion market. Concept Korea is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Daegu Metropolitan City, the Korea Creative Contents Agency, and the Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry. Concept Korea began in the spring of 2010, and this F/W 2013 season marks the organization’s seventh time showing at New York Fashion Week.

Behind the group is an industry powerhouse of fashion’s most influential voices, who hand picked each of the designers. They include: FERN MALLIS, founder of New York Fashion Week, SIMON COLLINS, Dean of Parsons, COLLEN SHERING, Fashion Director of Saks Fifth Avenue, STAN HERMAN, former President of the CFDA, PHILLIP BLOCH, Stylist, ANN CARUSO, Stylist, JANE PAGE, VP at Balenciaga, CAROL SONG, Head Buyer atOpening Ceremony, SCOTT STUDENBERY, VP at Lanvin, TARYN LAEBAN,VP of Kate Spade and PHILIPPE SOUSSAND, founder of Soussand Associates.

This theme of this season’s runway show is ”Rhythm of Korea.” The Stage will come alive with a fusion of traditional Korea music that represents the spirit of Seoul.
